Being a tourist in my own country for a day – at this beautiful place: Gardens By The Bay. It was his birthday and we spent a good day there exploring and video-ing with my newly-bought GoPro.
For all the tourist visiting Singapore, this place is a MUST! It is located directly beside Marina Bay Sands and it’s accessible from Bayfont MRT Station – approximately 15 minutes walk.
The supertrees will be one of the first sights that greet you and they are massive. There’s a OCBC skywalk which cost only $5 for you to have a good panoramic view of Gardens By The Bay. However, the real deal will be a visit to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. Get Tickets Here.
Personally, I would recommend the Cloud Forest as it has the largest man-made indoor waterfall in the world; it’s pretty breathtaking. The Flower Dome does have special exhibitions according to some seasons but it was off-peak when we went there.
The Cloud Forest
We spent quite some time in the Cloud Forest as a lot of people were hogging the prime spot to take an IG-worthy photo with the waterfall. We then queued for 15 minutes to take the lift up to access the “Lost World” to view the Cloud Forest from the top, and slowly descend to Secret Garden, before we made our way to exit.
The Flower Dome was packed with more tourists. But it seemed there’s more tourists resting than exploring the exhibition.
We were kind of lucky to have caught the musical show of the Supertrees in the evening. It lasted around 15 minutes and the lights danced to the music.
Have you been to Singapore? And is it on your bucket list? 🙂
