Before our actual wedding day, we had booked a slot at Registry of Marriage (ROM) to collect our marriage certificate. Though our solemnisation takes places on actual day before the banquet, we still want to celebrate this significant day. So hubby and I booked lunch at the Ocean Restaurant to enjoy some quiet moments before the big day arrives.
The mandatory shot that every married couple will take when they are here.
We were the first customers to arrive and had pretty good seats, but with minimum expenditure of $80 per pax (which is relatively easy to hit as the 3-course lunch set is already 72.) add on a drink and you are all set. However, reservation is highly recommended as we saw some walk-ins had to settle for middle seats as their request for the prime seats were turned down.
We ordered our 3-course lunch set and sat there in awe of the panoramic view of the marine world in front of us. I have to say I can really sit there all day and just watch the fishes swim. So, so therapeutic.
For appetiser, we had Scottish salmon and Canadian scallops. For mains, both of us ordered pacific tarakihi. Dessert wise, we had Tropicana (coconut sorbet with sago) and lemon-scented pound cake with vanilla ice cream.
Hubby said he needed another round of lunch after all of these haha. Thankfully there’s free flow of bread to keep us full for a while.
I would recommend to go there to experience it but I don’t think I’ll be heading back there anytime soon. Have you been here before?
